on the other hand, this ole '21 olds cut down sedan was one of the most recognized rides of the era, & of course, featured on THE most popular show of the 60's......go figure.
 
We were in Asheville in August and a hotel there (Hillbilly theme - can't remember the name) advertizes a Ceement pond.
 
My parents met Jerry at a local dinner theatre not long after My Mother the Car was cancelled. My mom liked the show and told him so. What she's said over the years is his response was "you were apparently the only one".

Speaking of Heaven's Gate (the cult), I read that the brother of actress Nichelle Nichols (Uhura on Star Trek) was one of the cult members who committed suicide to go join the mother ship.
