It is now official! Two shrinks and a medical internist have all diagnosed and upgraded their patient to: eccentric architect, with bent sense of humor, who drives an antique, funny red British sportscar and who enjoys fishing in a very fast red Tarpon boat. Said patient is married to a perfectly sane woman of British origin who is a Patroness of the Arts and Children's charities.

Patient is now permitted to wear normal dirt bag clothing and change out thrust bearings unattended. Whew!!

I've been in one of those... it drove me crazy! ~story~ in high school we had a doctor from the psych ward come and give a talk about modern medicine and treatemnts for the kinds of patients that used to be put into straight jackets, and he brought one for us to see what it would have been like in the "dark days" of mental treatments.
Intresting visit, learned a lot, and remember it to this day. The straight jacket was an excellent object lesson. It was maddnening not being able to move your arms or even your hands. I don't think they ever "helped" any of the patients. with the exception of someone being self destructive.
Anyhoo.. Good on ya Tinster. Soon you will be able to put a sign over your garage door, "Tinsters British car repair"
