Greetings all! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post!
My question concerns the removal of the distributor from an AH 3000 BJ7. First some background: This is an early model MKII with gear-driven tacho; with the distributor attachments bolts completely removed and the clamp bolt loosened, the distributor will move up but appears to "catch". The distributor drive rotates freely but still refuses to separate from the assembly.
I would like to install another distributor that's in better condition, less bushing ware and possibly better more steady dwell readings. Any ideas? Thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif
