Distributor differences

My 948 engine came with a DM2 distributor and I recently acquired a 25D distributor. The second one has been rebuilt and I thought I would use it to replace my original. When I bought it I didn't know it was a different model. Is there any reason that it would not function with my engine? I found it referenced as being used in the 1098 and I hope it is just an "improved" version of the DM2. The only difference that I can see is the connection of the vacuum line to the carbs.

I have very little problem with swaping them around. It may not be "concours" or good enough for the racer-boys but for daily driving there is very little difference.

I'm not concerned with concours since I have made a number of other changes. As long as it functions I'll be happy. That's all I needed to know. Thanks.
