ok yes you should tackle one job at a time but ....
ok so I'm doing a RHD to LHD Converstion so everything under the dash has un plugged.
+ new gas tank and distributer.
Gas tank is painted and went in ok I may have cross threaded the brass pipe.... no leaks yet
so I have hooked up the battery and some how smoked the Heater fan oh new heater matrix so that was all out and banged around a bit.
Now I'm trying to hook up a 123Ignition brand Distributer I like the one in my jag. it says hook up just the red to the coil only Check turn on ignition and twist till the LEDs are out. no LEDs .... bright sunlight doesn't help, sun sets not till 11:00. .... but thats not why I'm writing when i turn the ignition on the Tachometer hops up like .... well I will spare you the colourful medifore .. it hops to attention. why? there is only one way to wire the tach, the speacle connectors make sure of that. ..... oh could it be because i have an earlier dash and harness? I have tried plugging in the black wire from the new Distributer to the coil the tach still hops up. no i have not put anything to the crank position or even hooked up the coil yet.
ahhhhh.
