Hi gents,

during the refurbishment of my front suspension of my BN6 with wire whells I noticed that the distance peace (#122 of attached MOSS picture) is missing. Is that part required? I am not really sure since the MOSS catalogue is not precise on that in my understanding.

Regards,

Volker

The distance piece is a very important part of the front suspension This piece together with the required number of shims sets your bearing clearance. A setup without the distance piece could cause stub axle fracture.

Thanks for sharing this. Does anyone have an idea where to get the distance pieces? They do not seem available at Moss because Moss does neither list a part number nor a price. Also two supliers in Germany are not able to deliver them. Volker

I believe a have what you need. Send me a private message.

Volker,

Just a general comment. Moss in the UK no longer deal in Healey parts, not sure about in Europe. SC Parts are owned by a large German company who I'm sure you are aware of. I've not had good service the few times I used them. My advice is to use AH Spares, they have everything and provide good service.

I would like to find one or two of these as well, new or used.

AHSpares lists the same distance piece for all cars, from BN2 up to early BJ8s, part # SUF140. However, Moss has a different part listed for the BN4-6 with wire wheels than for a BN4-6 w/o wire wheels. The part for the BN4-6 cars with wire wheels is not available from Moss, but that is what I need. Can anyone tell me whether the AHSpares part # SUF140 work for the BN4-6 cars with wire wheels.
