My buddy just called, he has two year old triplets, and more on the way. He filled his family van up with gas yesterday - went out to run an errand with the kids this morning and his tank was bone dry. Some body in his neighborhood siphoned his gas.

Now that's a cheap shot, and a van gas load is probably not too cheap. Scoundrels!

At least my daily driver Hyundai (parked outside) is worth less than any of the Bugeye, motorcycle, or truck parked in the garage.

Yep, but Jerri's Mercedes & my Dodge truck sit outside - plus there's usually a couple of MG's outside - & my 380SL is under a carport, but outside.

Man, I hope they diden't punch a hole in the tank to get the gas out. With all the flappers, and nonsence in the fuel fillers these days it's almost impossible to use a classic siphon, much less get it out again. His van dosen't have a locking fuel door? or did they break it?
That's just low.
Of course all I can picture is Cheech and Chong trying to fill up that T-bird with the open-topped 55 gallon drum.....

Yup-yup... same 'deterrent' here...

All around know I'm likely to end any litigation over "theft" before it ever begins...

If ya need somethin' just *ASK*. It's likely I'll GIVE it to ya, and help with the problem in the bargain... Try an' STEAL it from me and it's likely you won't get to breathe much longer.

One morning I found the gas door on my truck, which I park next to the road, open and the gas cap lying on the ground. But the gas was still in the tank. Wonder what thwarted this gas-stealing attempt?

Could it have been my Attack Cats?

Shoot, shovel and shutup. Thats how the ranchers around here take care of federally protected critters (wolves come to mind). There was a story about the shooter throwing the radio collar onto a passing train.
