TR2/3/3A Dirty clutch driven plate

I'm about to attach the clutch and transmission to the engine. The flywheel and the clutch drive plates have been exposed to the air for about six months, and they look a bit dirty. What can I use to clean off the flywheel and clutch plates? Maybe alcohol? Mineral Spirits?

As long as it does not have oil on it, just wipe it off with a dry cloth. Any dirt will be burned off in minutes. If oil, replace it.

Blow it out with air. You can run 220 grit paper over the flywheel and pressure plate to knock of some of the glaze.
