I cannot seem to find it. Am I an idiot or what? Any help is appreciated!

Jeff means the passenger side. The stick is slightly pointed forward and is a REAL pita if you have a header on there. Took me a while not to get burnt every time i reached in there.

Yes, Mark, Jeff does! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif
He was thinking of where he moved it to on the Spit race 1500.
Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa.

Its ok Jeff, /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif judging by Blackjokr's other post on the carb he will be looking in the right place.

Mark, I made a custom pan for the Spit, and moved the dipstick to the left side, thinking how much easier it was going to be to access! I put it slightly ahead of the starter.
I don't need to be giving BJ (or anyone else) false information!!

Jeff i just find its easier to reference Drivers side/passenger side, no mistakes that way.

How did you move the stick? did you put another hole in the block? or just plug the original, and make it pan mounted?

Mark, I plugged the original hole, and made a hammerhead extended sump pan. I mounted the dipstick tube on the side of the pan extension with a stainless fitting and a short piece of stainless tubing. The actual dipstick was a cut down, calibrated, and re-marked GM unit from a Chevy 4.3 V6.

HA! Found it! cripes..is that thing tough to find if you don;t knwo where to look. I am going to clean the old stick up and paint the head red or yellow to find it easier...

No mistakes unless the car happens to be RHD...
