Love red snapper!!!

Dale, you really know how to hurt a guy!

Great presentation by the chef, by the way.

This was my birthday gift from Wendy: 5 days at
the Copa Marina resort. Alexandra's restaurant is
rated No. 1 in Puerto Rico. We can attest it is.

Wendy (being a Brit) ordered the rack of lamb.

Those dishes are works of art and should be framed and hung on the wall. :jester:
Seems a shame to have to eat the food.

Stuart.

Can I have yours? :jester:

I'm sure it was delicious, but to be honest, I probably would have run out the door screaming if they had set that thing in front of me. that gives me the heebie jeebies!
I'll stick to wendys fare... that looks tasty.

So, I'm guessing you wouldn't enjoy a crawfish boil...

Isn't this the same Banjo who recently attended a clam roast
and ate the slimy insides of steamed "stones"? Clams and oysters
are nasty looking things we enjoy eating.

ha, ha, ha

Those crawfish look great!

That Red Snapper is about the ugliest thing I've ever seen on a plate!

YOu will never see me dining at a Red Lobster. I'll admit. I'm a wuss when it comes to stuff like that. I'll eat crab meat, but I'm not gonna eat crab legs that ya gotta crack open... Shrimp is awesome as long as it's not peel and eat.. I dont do lobster or crayfish/crawdads.
I've never been a huge seafood fan anyway. the occasional fish fry, (New England style, with "chips" and vinegar is the best) or broil is about the extent of it. I've tried calamari. nope... Clams.. they kinda go with beer, and since I pretty much quit drinking,I pretty much don't eat clams anymore. (lots of melted butter is the key)
Sushi for me tends to stay with california rolls, and truthfully is an excuse to have wasabi
The fish/seafood flavor is just not geared to my pallet.
I can appreciate the artistry that went into that dinner, but I'll pass.
I gotta do New Orleans sometime, but I'll not be partaking of the crawdads. I know, my loss.
All the more for you guys. enjoy!

I did once have smoked lake trout that had been caught that morning, prepared by a friend who owned a really classy resturant ( and is an avid fisherman) I gotta say that was absolutly wonderful.

Well, Banjo, when you decide to do N'Awlins....let Mickey & me know in advance....we'll show you some serious cuisine!
