Diggin' the Jaguar F-Type

I guess I should post this over on the Jaguar forum, but I know you guys, not them. :D Anyway, while I liked the F-Type convertible, the new coupe is, IMHO, a real knock-out. I love every angle...except the window sticker!!! There are three levels to choose from. I would love to drive the R, but suspect I would be very happy with the S.

So what do you guys think of it?

As soon as the kids are old enough ;-)
But I think the Healey is more fun, so that one is going to stay

I had a 1999 XJR with 370 HP. It was a rocket ship in a sedan body. An F S would be fantastic. The R would make you frustrated because there is no way you could use all that power -- and it comes with a price!

Rick, I love the body on the 4C. Read the latest issue of Road & Track. Apparently it is not a pleasant driving experience.

That's my thinking, Tim. I'd love to give it a drive, but I think the S would be the one I could live with. It took me a lot of years to value the magic of balance.

In a 1950's technology sort of way, isn't that "magic of balance" what we like about our Healeys? In my mind (other than Coker's genius) this is what DMH managed so well. So many contemporary models lack that magic that it must be harder to attain than it looks.

Love the F type... and the S type would be my choice but would love to drive the R.

Cheers,
Steve

Great car, the posts suggest you get the brake upgrade in R, Carbon fiber $10,000 option. Would be great track car, too dangerous on street, probably couldn't keep foot out of it.

Drove one a few months ago.....my kidneys took a beating ..suspension to tight for me and for driving on ohio roads..
