Haynes manual stated 1 1/2 pint capacity. I have filled with close to a quart and with the car level the fill area does not overflow. Should I continue to fill untill the gear oil just begins to overflow.

A lite beer is 12 oz. So the diff holds 2.42 beers worth of oil. Geo forgot to convert to units of measure we can all relate to!?!

Interesting, there appears to be a misprint in Practical Hints 6th ed. It says 1 Imperial pint (which is wrong) and 1.8 US Pints (which I believe to be what was intended). Also appears that Google Docs doesn't support PDF comments very well.

At any rate, I agree with the above. 'Book' capacity is 1.8 pints, but ignore that and fill until it is full.
