TR5/TR250 difference on surrey tops tr4 vs tr4A/250

Hi to All, Does anyone know, is there a difference on surrey top dimensions between the tr4 surrey top and the tr4A / 250 surrey top. When you look at the Revington TR web site, they list seperate surrey tops. I am doing some metal surgery to my TR250 and have removed the deck forward, center and rear sections and plan on fitting them back on making sure my surrey top fits perfectly over them but I think the surrey I have is originally from an early tr4 being that it came with the aluminum center section.

I'm positive the difference lies in the way the two fasten to the body and windscreen. The body shells of those cars are identical. With some trim modifications (rear cockpit surround, plate on top of the windscreen) even the folding tops can be switched. You should have no problems cross fitting a surry top. It should physically fit on a 4 through a 6.

Thanks Banjo, this forum has once again proven to be an invaluable source. With your restoration background, I now have the information that I need to finish this project. Many thanks, VROD
