Ol' girl did three laps of the course! WOOHOO!! Funniest bit is: we were "gridded" behind ANOTHER 300D Turbo! "Battle of th' Behemoths"... 4000 pounds of pure ~adequacy~. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

The charity "tour" laps. Driver, and two passengers. Great fun seein' the corner workers scratchin' heads 'n laughin' as TWO old Benz lumps pedal'd past.

Gotta get 'smits a: "Three Laps of Sebring" bumper sticker! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

What, no youtube?
Grats to 'Smits!

So, did you get any lap times, or was it cloudy enough that the sundial didn't work? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
Jeff

She manned the camera! I may post a "thru th' windshield" shot of the OTHER benz. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

You may only be able to see the black cloud? Glad that you and the old "girls" got to stretch the legs.
Cheer, David.

Cool... I guess Nurburgring is next hehehehehehehe.

That'd be two clicks short of the "Citroen vs. Jetwash" vid.

Here's some "fresh" persuit pix as evidence... note the FINE shots of the wiper blade and the hood "bling" too /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

"LAP times"!!! HeeeheeeeHaaahaaa!!!!

We got the Carrera S 4 around in 2.33~2.35's. Dieseila's "dog year" times were up in the 4.5~5.2 area. "SnoPlow" territory. Beat th' donkey cart times, tho! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

AWRIGHT!!!

Hey, that's cool. Time to Pimp Your Ride with a nice roll cage and some harnesses.

I love driving street cars on the track. My mini-van has done laps at all our EMRA tracks.

My old StepVan had a half lap at Lime Rock (dropping off fire bottles) until we realized it wouldn't make it under the bridge....so we had to turn back and go counter-race. All the flaggers were making fun of us.
My old automatic GEO Prizm put in about 2 hours of hard driving on a lapping day at Lime Rock. In a weird way, it was sort of fun.

Last year at Pocono, Mrs. Aeronca took some of the Timing/Scoring gals out to a corner station in her slushbox Protege. She pulled back onto the track and was about half way around when they accidentally started the Formula race. She had her radio on and I'm broadcasting from the pits "Faster!, Faster!".
But these were only *Formula Vees*. Another few laps and she'd have caught *them*!. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Oh Yeah!!!

If a swarm of angry BEES attacks, "Jump inna Water!"

IOW: "PUSH th' LOUD pedal"! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Diesela ROCKS!

All 'smits' co-workers are gigglin' so bad they're in danger of pee'n their pants. But th' proof is posted RIGHT HERE! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Horsemits got a demo ride in my friend's Carerra S4 for a few hot laps, climbed out with an ear-to-ear grin and proclaimed she'd want to learn how to DO that... mebbe her next husband will have a deeper wallet. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I better get onna stick and rebuild that spare MGB engine and gearbox soon... She'll be out trollin' ricers into road races next!
