Dielectric Grease

Great for appliances and house wiring, not so good for automotive app. The grease is just for preventing oxidation and electrolysis. Conductive properties put it into a "gremlin" mode. And if there's copper in it on "white" metals it INDUCES electrolysis. Bad idea.

Are you talking about the GB product? The GB product is specifically designed for use in joining copper to "white" metals, promote conductivity and cooler connections. I have not used it in automotive connections but others have. While I certainly don't believe everything I see on the internet this is another opinion. Found it interesting especially in relation to cleaning older connectors.
