Died and gone to heaven

That is a beautiful photo. You might enter it in the calendar contest.

Glad you can finally enjoy the potential of your car.

I agree must enter contest. By the way I have a stack of original Tr3 steel wheels I'm not using. Anyone want them?

I agree Harry. That's something like DNK or Kodanja would do!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

grrrrrrrr

Sure - rub salt on the open wound. LOL. Of course, now I've got a stack (of seven) I'm not using myself!

So thanks for the compliments and suggestions guys. It's still misty outside; sure feels great to take TeeYah out on the road, hood up, lights on, wipers slapping back and forth. Too lazy to put up the sidecurtains. I feel like it's 1959 in the Adirondacks - two lane blacktop, trees all around. And the music of the Vanguard as my serendipitous serenade.

That routine reminds me of an old movie -
- "Between Time & Timbucktu" where a guy wins
a poetry contest & becomes an astronaught.
They have a guy that looks (& sounds like)
Walter Cronkite. He spends about 20 minutes going
over the question - "Will they have Tang?"

My experience with bent steel wheels is that often what happened is that the older tire machines that changed the tires would hook on the lip of the wheel and bend it at the web ( the four bolt pattern). The machines had this flip down deal so they could change 13, 14, and 15 inch tires; the dealie needed to be removed for the 15 inch skinny wheels. The good news is that the wheel can be fixed by a talented steel man or a good tire man with a big hammer and a block of wood. Mild steel can often be fixed easily, but do not try it with some alloys; they crack easy. So if you have some bent wheels find an old-time tire shop and show the guy the web. I have seen them go from trash to a half once of lead in two minutes. I through some away in the day that I wish I had back. In addition, you can take a couple of big adjustable open -end wrenches and fix a lot of bead damage also.
