I believe I read somewhere the Henry Ford wanted to power the Model T with ethanol, but all the oil discoveries made gasoline ridiculously cheap (Rockefeller probably had some influence, too).
 
LOL! Over the holidays, I had a nip of some of the BEST "ethanol" ever made! It has been around in NC since way before the internal combustion engine was ever invented. And yes, Bob, you are 100% correct re Henry Ford and the Model T.
