Yup, there was an MG built in 1874! But it was only one horse power. :jester:

Cool! The technology sure looks familier, especially the weater proofing and suspension.
 
The 79 I had was about as water proof! Maybe a little less due to the holes and tears in the top along with half the floor boards missing. :jester: PJ
 
Citroen was wayyy behind.... the 2CV came out in 52-53 and it only had 9 horsepower.
What were the early SAABs? the ones with the pull rope start.
Very interesting Paul. I did not know there was an MG made that early.

Banjo, I don't remember a SAAB with pull-rope start, and my father rebuilt a model 92, the first production SAAB.

But I do remember the Austin Seven, and early ones could be had with such a starter. They produced approximately 10 bhp.
