...when you see all of your hard work potentially being destroyed right in front of you? Like you dropped a tool and it bounces toward your freshly painted car? You accidentally bump into something to see it fall and hit something else, start to fall, hit something else, then see some prized possession at the end of that line? Yeah, I had that moment yesterday. My 10 year old son comes out of the hallway bathroom and says "The commode is starting to overflow." as he steps out the water starts to flow down the hall.....OVER OUR NEWLY LAID HARDWOOD FLOOR!!! Now I just had gallbladder surgery the day before and I'm what you call "a little sore". Needless to say I hurt a whole lot more after that. It LOOKS like we got the water up in time but for a moment there I could feel several words bubbling up from within (none of which can be mentioned here.):smile:

I think we've all had moments like that. One that stands out for me was back in the 80's when I had just finished a restoration on a 1954 Jaguar XK120 FHC. The very day I got it out of the paint shop, I drove over to the base to take care of some business at the personnel office (I was still active duty then). I parked way back in the south 40 where there were no other cars! Wouldn't you know, some lady in a 1976 Tuna Boat with 15 foot doors, parked right next to me and opened her Tuna Boat driver' s door right onto my freshly painted Jag!
 
Passed my driving test then didn't drive for a year (couldn't afford a car at uni) so when I collected my first car (albiet as a bit of a wreck but Dad paid so I was grateful for anything) my driving was a bit rusty. Got it home but forgot to take it out of gear when I released the clutch. The thing leapt forward and hit the corner of my parents house leaving a large V shape dent in the car (the house survived unscathed).
