Did my first rally, organized for classic or exotic cars of all kinds. Lots of quality cars showed up and I thought some of you might like to see the pics. Google's Picasa seems to be acting up a bit, so if it doesn't work, just check back later I guess. Here's a link:

Was that a twin turbo LTD in one of those pics?

Don't let Kenny see it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

That looks like fun- so where did you go? Any interesting roads, locations?

So can anyone tell what the car in picture #36 is? (red coupe)

ahh be still my heart. if you have to drive something built stateside, that would be it.

Looks like a Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Easier to recognize wearing her racing clothes.

Yeah, I think it was one of the "Brockspeed" Daytona Coupes. A very nice looking car. The route took us into the country areas North of Kansas City. I did not like the set up, it was a Decision-confirmation type rally. Meaning, you hit a checkpoint, decided which one of two or three ways to go, and then looked for a confiramtion within 2 miles or so that you made the right choice. If you don't see the confirmation, you made the worng choice and you have to go back. Needless to say, we made a lot of wrong choices and were generally unfamiliar with the area. There were two runs that day and I only did the first. After three hours driving back and forth all over the country I was ready for some drinks! I will say the event was very well planned and was fun to attend, and I met some very cool and very committed car people. Here's a pic someone else took of us crossing the starting line at the very beginning. I'll probably do it again next year.
