10 years ago, the water line in our front yard developed a leak at the junction where the main from the street connects with the line from the house. At that time, I decided to get out the shovel and dig by hand to fix the leak. See picture:

As a result of that fun exercise, I ended up with "Frozen Shoulder Syndrome" which took over a year of therapy to resolve.

This morning, ten years + later, the same join developed another leak. This time, I sucked it up and spend the money to rent a Bobcat.

Yes it was $150, but man it was worth it! Once we had the Bobcat in place, it took only about 30-45 minutes to dig down to where the leak is. Money well spent.

I'd pay $150 just to play with the Bobcat! $150 is a no brainer.

Good decision Boss. Makes reasonable sense to me.

Boy, that makes me feel old, I remember the first time you dug up your water line.

Seems like yesterday, but it was several years ago! I vowed that if I ever had to dig it up again I'd rent a Bobcat to avoid the shoulder problem.

My wife has the frozen shoulder problem. Moved a commercial Viking stove and pulled the shoulder, so she stopped using it for a month. Shot by x-ray and therapy still hurts, been a year. How long did yours give you pain?

It took a good year tp get back to near normal and that was with a lot of therapy.
