Did Inferior British Rivets Sink the Titanic?

I thought it sank because the tops of the watertight bulkheads finally went underwater allowing too many compartments to flood for her to float...

I thought they were Irish rivets.
I'm pretty sure it was built in Belfast.

They probably put them in upside down

If the rivets hadn't failed, the seams wouldn't have split; if the seams hadn't split, the water wouldn't have entered; if the water hadn't entered, it wouldn't have overflowed the bulkheads.....and so on and so on.....which came first - the chicken or the egg type argument....

Its the Driver's fault, really. :driving:

I suspect hitting the iceberg in the first place wasn't a good idea...even with good rivets. :nonod:

A riveting story.... :jester:

I ain't havin' <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">any</span></span> of it!

It was ALIENS, I tell ya! Yup. To disguise the gold heist.

Wear your AFDB's kiddies! They're EVERYWHERE now!

Interesting that the shipbuilder is putting such an effort into defending itself. It hardly seems that after nearly 100 years there could be much of a liability. After all who could possibly sue them or bring criminal liability charges against the co.

Oh, it would happen, believe me! Should they admit liability, the descendents of the relatives of those lost would be contacted by the ambulance-chasers, and the litigation would begin!

Stone-cold certain guarantee!!!

Is this all so surprising?

Everything British leaks.

Their cars leak oil.
Their secret services leak secrets.
Lucas electronics leak smoke.

Is it so hard to believe water would leak into the Titanic?
