That the new Geico Geco

Was driving a Triumph TR3

In one of their new commercials? :driving:

Yes, actually, I did. :thumbsup:

These 50 year old (+) cars are far more iconic than the current crop. That's why they still pop up in commercials.

:iagree: And probably why many of us really *like* 'em!

--> ME!

I was just watching an episode on Columbo on Netflix and in a couple of scenes, the actress playing the daughter of a "Matador" (Ricardo Montalban) is driving (I think) an MG TF.

I guess it is a "cartoonized" TR3. Looks like an Austin Healey "Bugeye" with TR3 doors to me. Still, I like it.

This is not new. It is one of the 1st ads run by Geico using the Gecko. They are just re using it, Better than a lot of the stupid (IMO) stuff they have been running lately.

That's a Jag
TR3 , you wish
No right thinking Gecko would be caught dead in a tractor car

First I've seen the ad (the Youtube link), then again I'm here north of the border... It looks more like a Jaguar XK120/140/150 to me as well, no doubt about it...

the ad posted is not the one that I saw on TV.

The one I saw, he parks it and leans against it.

still looks like a TR3 to me, at least like the 1st LBC

that I ever owned.

It's definitely a Jag. The back, based on the slim bumpers, is XK-120, but the front, based on the thick front bumber, is XK-140.
