I would like peoples opinion of the best way to bend replacement steel brake lines.

I at that point & don't wanna screw them up at about 20 bucks a pop.....
 
For many years now, I've never done anything fancier than careful forming of lines around an appropriate hard object such as a water pipe, wooden dowel, soda bottle or whatever was handy and yielded the "proper" radius for the bend. What matters is not simply bending the pipes "in the air" as they WILL kink.
 
I have that one (the one you showed). Works well in that it does a neat job while it doesn't collapse the tube. It's limited when it's necessary to get a bend close to the fitting (can't get tool positioned close enough). That's where Roger's choice gets the nod. On the really short tubes (from the brake calipers to the brake hose), I could not duplicate the bends to my satisfaction. FWIW, I have two benders that I've used for many years. In general, I feel that a larger radius bend is preferable, so one of them is for about 1.5" radius bends. The other is for tight quarters, about 0.5" radius. I also modified the 'tight quarters' version so the nut on the line fits under bending arm, which allows bends very close to the nut. You don't want the bend TOO close to the nut though, as otherwise the nut will bind ... this tool does it perfectly for me.
 
I used the pipe bender to get the lines close then just used a little elbow grease to get them right in place
worked like a charm~!

BTW: I flushed the system and blead it with DOT 5 Silicone brake fluid.

I think ill flush out the clutch system & replace it with silicone as well.

I took it for a short drive today & am hoping the weather is good on Sunday to take it for a longer drive!

Randall did you make your tube benders yourself? If not do you remember were you got them? They look like they would be very easy to use on pipes with multiple bends.
