My screen has been blank and the power light flashes. Power button doesn't work. If I hit the monitor or move it, it works for a while. When I leave it and come back, it's blank again. Any ideas?

Sounds like your connector is not fully plugged in/seated.

I've been told that for years.

It's tellin' ya you need a new one.

solenoid?

Never knew Dell subbed out to Lucas...

Poor ground, loose wire, switch. Swap power cords.

Short between the keyboard and the floor?

Nut loose on the keyboard?

If it's a standalone monitor, i.e. not a laptop monitor, try disconnecting it from your PC and then turning on power.
It may flash "www.Dell.com" or something. If not, get a new one.
If it does that and no more, when re-connected to PC, or if it works briefly then stops, it's time for a new one.

I got a new Dell monitor from Walmart recently, but they have a bunch of others, and at a good price.

It's toast.

Seems like a scam. My printer just went out and bith were purchased at the same time.

Wife got a new cell phone for free (had to update plan)cause here's died, I asked if I could get one too, but keep it till my current phone died. They said sure and it wouldn't cost extra. Sprint lady took my current phone's battery out, read off some numbers and punched them into her computer.

Later that night, my current not-so-old phone started making weird noises that I've never heard before. It had been working fine for a year with no problems. It woke up dead the next morning. I had to get the new phone activated. Something tells me this wasn't a fluke.

Electroniks industry done got ya number.
