Delivery driver out of line

This morning upon entering my garage from inside my house I noticed a small box laying next to my trash can. I hadn't yet opened the garage door to leave. I picked up the box and saw that it was sealed and addressed to my daughter.
The delivery driver walked into my open garage and placed the box on the floor. He could have easily dropped it at the front door but instead he came into my garage. He had no business coming into my open garage. I want to contact the shipper but I'm sure I'm wasting my breath. 🤬

If the package doesn't say who the shipping handler is, you might want to contact the vendor and ask. so you can then go to them to note that the package was left in an unexpected location that you might not have found for a while.

You’re right as I did not get the package until the next morning.

While I agree that no one should be walking into your garage uninvited, I also could be led to believe that they left the package there because of the fantastic uptick in theft - particularly during the holiday shipping season. Items left by front doors frequently have a habit of vanishing, the driver may have felt that was a safer place to leave it.

Possibly..... but as there was a car in the garage he could have rung the bell.

I've noticed that they ring the door bell.I was at home yesterday,& both
FedEx & the USPS left packages at the front door. One was wet on the bottom,
as it had been raining earlier.
I wish they'd ring the bell. They don't have to wait for me to answer, but it's
always nice to know they dropped off stuff.

In any case, talking to the shipping contractor should settle if it was a policy to try to avoid theft or just unthinking by the driver. If policy, then they should be told that drivers should have something to leave in the door or mailbox noting the delivery and location.

At least the delivery person didn't deliver it three houses down the street.

Most of the deliveries we've received lately have come with a text to say the package has been delivered.

I did not order anything, this package was sent by someone other than me so I never knew it was coming.

That's how I met my newest neighbors, Amazon delivered to my front door rather than theirs, guess they didn't read the number over the door...
So, walked it over to them the couple times it happened.
