By the end of the war, Confederate notes were totally worthless.

Today, the value of these notes is far from worthless. Their prices range from under one hundred dollars for the most common and heavily printed series, to the tens of thousands for the rarest.

I collect $2 bills...not by going out & buying them but, every time I go to the VA hospital & they pay me for travel expenses, they give me $2 bills.
 
Odd. Kind of like some amusement parks really love to use dollar coins - or at least they used to. Walmart got into that for awhile too, otherwise nobody wants the stupid things.
 
bibber, when i lived in savn. 1976. i bought about 20, confederate bills, matted and framed them as a gift for a doctor friend who is a civil war enthusiast,..who knew!! :shocked:
