TR2/3/3A Deformed float bowl

How concerned should I be about the deformed float bowl? It is leaking small amounts of fuel, but overall the car seems to be running well.

Looks like you need a gasket. The solid float bowls don't deform without a hammer. That is the gasket sticking out between top and bottom due to age and alcohol. Easy fix, drop bowl install new gasket.
 
Have you paid attention to what is underneath the float bowls? Take a good look! You will likely be looking at the exhaust manifold. That would be a very hot exhaust manifold when the car is running. Not what I would call a thing to take lightly.
Replace the gasket.

I don't see anything wrong with the bowl except your gasket is not centered. The way the gasket is, I bet the leak is pretty bad?!?
 
Find a Triumph or British Car Club in your area in case you need help. Easy carbs once you know how, but area members will usually be well versed on these carbs.
 
No need to rebuild the carbs. Just change that gasket. There is a lot more involved in rebuilding the carbs. If they are performing good then best not to mess with a rebuild.
