MGB-GT Defogger on a GT

My GT doesn't have the rear window defogger. I'd like one.
Has anyone put an aftermarket one in?
I can get a period correct switch, but just inquiring on recommendations, hurdles and such like.
Thanks!

I want one, too. I've heard that the after market ones work, but they are fragile. I'd love to find an original piece of glass with a defrost in it.

About 15 or 20 years ago, I installed one I got from JC Witless, and it worked like a champ. The adhesive never came undone, and it looked pretty close to stock.

Unless the ones today are made in the same place as the rest of our aftermarket parts (e.g., China) - I can only think they're even better than the ones available a couple of decaces ago.

There were actually two different styles of OE GT window defroster. The later ones came with wider spaced, horizontal heating elements and the early ones had very close set, vertical elements.

I wanted something for my works top and found a NOS smiths rear window defroster on ebay, they do pop up from time to time.

The '74 GT I recently acquired has one. I wonder if it is worth removing & swaping into my '67? The glass on my '67 is scratched so I actually would get both a defogger & good glass. Is this a difficult swap?
