Default torque specs for engine hardware?

I'm assembling a TR6 engine, and have the torques specified in Bentley for the critical stuff like main bearing caps, rod bearings, etc.

However, there is often not a torque called out for stuff like the rear oil seal, rear engine plate, sump, etc.

Anyone use general torque rules of thumb for this stuff, or is it just a "tighten 'till snug" situation? Are there rules of thumb based on bolt size?

Tribe: You asked this an a previous thread. Me and Brosky worked hard
to find best evidence for an answer. Please refer back. Brosky quoted
rear engine plate torques and I have no cause to question that.

The rear oil seal was more of a devil cause it's called by different
names, depending upon the reference. Please refer back to that thread.
 
Oops, sorry guys! I thought I had hijacked another thread with that question, then decided I had the same one for all those miscellaneous bolts on the engine. Of course, this was before I discovered the torque page in Bentley!
