Good Morning, Can any point me to a site to decode an Engine Number: 18GB-U-H 15523..., the other number on the car is 57619. The car is a 1965 MGB. Also, what oil should I use for this engine? Thanks, Byron

That's your engine number in its`build sequence (15523)....its a 5-main bearing engine that's correct for the year

Where/what's your VIN? It should look something like "GHN3/L/48766" which is the VIN of the first roadster built for the 1965 year.
