Decoding body tags

More of a curiosity thing, but I have a shell I am going to be using and was stripping it yesterday and pulled the body tags. Is there a way to figure out what they mean?

post the number and we can help.

one tag is BAE 30681
other is AN 530450

BAE is a RH door tag and is a recorded number. You can get your original chassis number with only this info, but is just a serial number that us typically close to the actual AN5 serial number (usually within 1000)

The other number is not a recorded number; again, you can see it's a serial number in the same range, probably from the division that stamped and assembled the bodies, but not a number that was tracked when the car was built.

This is likely a very late 1959 or very early 1960 build.
