When I was yoinger I never got sick. Everyone else got colds but me. I started having health problems around 38. Now at 43 I get sick at least three, maybe four times a year minimum. Is this normal?

I'm afraid I may be paying the price for choices made years ago.
 
Yes, it's normal, you're getting old. Though in your case I'd suggest it's not the years, it's the mileage.

That said, I can't imagine any other situation where I would put you and "normal" in the same sentence.

:lol: Yeah, I got some miles. Honestly, at this rate of decay I can't see old age in my future, which doesn't bother me.

Needless to say, I lived life at an age that life should be lived at. There are som regrets, however; I'd have those anyway if I always did what I was supposed to and missed out on life. I have and still continue to live life by the rules I choose....I just choose better rules now. :wink:
 
Good point Bayless, coupla months and I'll be a 56 year old YOUNG man. We must enjoy our youth while we have it. [I find that a strong sense of denial is an asset.] :laugh: I was the poster boy for poor choice, but now... :angel:
 
I burned the candle at both ends and the middle in my youth. Sadly, I remember little of those halcyon days.
 
Rules? What are these things called rules? My days of leaving body parts on athletic fields and working as a torpedo test pilot have cost me dearly. My back surgeon,after looking at my MRI asked me when I broke my back.I really couldnt recall having done it,but apparently I did somewhere along the way. Pain can be such a rush. I feels so good when it stops. My chiropractor is my buddie.
