I found some original mint dealer brochures (a 100-6 and a 64 Mark III) at a flee market. The Mark III shows white back ground gauges and red valve cover. What gives? I have an early (Nov 63) BJ8 with black gauges and have never seen whites on any car this late vintage.
 
The artwork in the sales brochures (notice that they are NOT photos) often reflect "artistic license," and should not be used as a reference. There are several strange colors shown, often probably just because they thought that it looked better somehow.

Note also that sales brochures were often prepared in advance of a new model, or during its development process, and therefore may show aspects applicable to the previous model.

Bottom line: the artwork in them is not good reference.
 
HI TH, I think if you had of found them at a Flea market you might put some verisimilitude in the artists rendition.However, when they show up in "Flee" Markets somebody probably just ran over there and dumped em knowing that their creditability was problematic.-K /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
 
What is the publication # for the 106 brochure, located on the back cover? I am always looking for mint 100-6 items for my literature collection.

Its # 1334/2/C. Its common cause I've seen them before. I just hate passing up nice Healey stuff. The guy I got them from was into MGAs and had a lot of stuff on them. I paid dearly but they were VERY nice condition. $17.50 each if I got both or $20.00 for one.
