De-yellowing old convertible windows

After having twice been caught in unexpected rain, I broke down and dug out the ancient, (purportedly original) convertible top that came with my BE. Soaking in Armor All got rid of that dry, gray, appearance, sadly, the threads are rotting, but it should hold up for a little while.

A little black gorilla tape covered the many small holes (yeah, ok, so I'm doing it on the cheap), but the ugliest part of it is that windows are yellowed over. Is there any way to restore, even partially, the transparency?

Hi Bill, I have some stuff I bought at Schucks that works pretty well.
I will have to go find it in order to tell you what it is, the name Forex comes to mind but I'm not sure that's correct.
 
I'm curious too -- my original sidecurtains (fabric) are yellowed nearly to the point of opacity. I'll rebuild them some day, but a little cleaning might make them usable for now.
 
I haven't tried this stuff myself but found several references to it through Google. The suggestions say to use a couple of Meguiar's products. Their #17 Clear Plastic Cleaner followed by #10 Clear Plastic Polish. I bought a new top for Sprite but if I can find this stuff locally I might give it a try on my original top.
