For many of us (but not all), tonight starts ~DAYLIGHT SAVINGS~

Spring Ahead!....Fall Back!

(I'm exhausted from a long day at Lime Rock but it's only 8 AM if you take Daylight Savings into account. I'll have to stay up a bit longer or I'll be up at 3 AM)

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif I think it ends it. Regardless, as long as I get my hour back, I don't really care if it starts or stops /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Yup, END of Daylight savings... MY favorite holiday! The precieved extra hour of sleep is the best present I get all year /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You must be joking. Getting dark an hour earlier is a good thing?!?!? Tonight is the worst night of the year for a driving enthusiast! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I hate it...When I drive into work it's dark, when I drive home it's dark /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif

Well. driving season is quickly wrapping up around here. Yes I agree, getting dark early stinks, and I'm ready for DST when it comes around in the spring... but I'm NOT a morning person.. So it makes mornings much more plesant for me.
that reminds me! I gotta go fix the clock on the coffee maker, so it kicks on at the right time.

The farmer's never liked daylight savings time...they complained that the extra hour of sunlight was bad for the crops. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

And change the smoke detector batteries.

Good point Chris S. I hereby nominate you the official BCF Safety officer... All in favor, Say "AYE"
hehehehehe
Seriously, good point

AYE - but I still hate the time change!

Smoke detectors?!?! Is this a Lucas electric systems diagnostic device?!?!

*shakes head*

I don't really get the deal. I hate getting up in the dark, whether it's 3am for a pre-dawn rally, or 6am. As far as getting an extra hour's sleep, I have to make myself stay up an extra hour so I'm going to bed the same time I normally go to bed...

Besides, don't worry, in 6 months you can give the hour back.

Maybe we could compromise with a 30 minute shift once a year?

Doesn't make a difference to me one way or the other. My work schedule goes by the sun, so I'm still up at the same time UTC, just shows up an hour different on the clock.

Kind of makes life a pain if I want to stay up for the 11pm news, so I tend to skip that in the winter.
