A lightly used Toyota or Honda would seem to fit the bill. With gas prices what they are today, I'd go for a small car. The Honda Civic Coupe (2 door) is a great car for City driving. The back seat isn't huge, but for a single lady in the city, it a perfect car.

Richmond also has many independent repair shops that can fix the car, so she won't have to take it to a dealer with the $130 per hour shop rates.

Hard to beat the Japanese imports.

Good luck to your daughter in Richmond. I hope she can take time to check out the VA Museum of Fine Arts (on Boulevard), a world-class art museum and the jewel of Richmond.

Cheers.

Her budget is $5000,or less. She'll also be opening
a photography studio there.
