Datsun Fairlady roadsters or "Z" cars?
My coworker has a '68 2000 Solex roadster. I can ask him monday for some of his good sites.

Have you googled "Datsun"?

Yes, most of them are "junk". I need something close to what this forum is (I know that is impossible, but ...).
This information may get me a new job.

Still havent answered the Datsun Q? as to what type? My bro-in-law has a small group for the Datsun 1600/2000 Roadsters, But obviously it will be a difficult find due to the larger range of British cars.
Good luck

When I bought the inventory of an upholstery shop that was going out of business, I acquired a brand new Datsun 1600 convertible top - tan...if anybody neds one!

Yesterday,(Sunday) SWMBO went to a swap meet in Puyallup Wa,
we're walking along, I see a hard top, and say "That looks
like a Datsun 2000 top", she goes over and has a close look,
reads the 1" X 2" tag, "It's for a 1600 Roadster" I say "It'll
fit the 2000 as well..."

Depends on if it's for a low or a high windshield car. I think the split was 65 or 66. the later 1600 is the same as a 2000. Only difference was some minor trim, and of course the engine.

That's kinda what the Datsun guys have told me about the soft top I have...apparently there were 2 different types of frames also.

I like those Datsun's....

But they're on the long list (near the top though).

I have a short list and a long list. Getting one on the short-list this week! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif I think the first 2000 ('67 1/2) was still a low windshiled car. It is different from the '68-69 2000.

Is Pontiac the next division GM will cut?

Probably, Tony. There aren't too many models out there of them.
