My Arkley MG had a Rivergate/Datsun 5-speed transmission installed before I bought it. I love the difference it makes on the road. I’m not sure though how to check the transmission fluid. I know the original rib cage had an access on the driver’s side of the tunnel. Can anyone tell me how to check it on the Datsun 210 transmission in a Midget? Thanks.

Underneath, left side of the transmission there is a fill plug (square end). Remove that and check the level. It should be full enough to just drip out the filler hole. Put a finger in there and you should be able to feel the level.

Beat me to it, Drew! 👍

EDIT: In mid-post was interrupted by a call from a friend.
