Dashboard Switches Light Brackets??

Ok, I just replaced the Fan switch and the Light switch on the Midget. How do those brackets mount behind the switches? It looks like you slide the light bulb in the top, and then the bracket somehow slides behind the switches?

Is it the tabs on the switches that hold the switches in the dashboard holes, or is it the actual light bulb bracket that holds the switches in the holes??

Also, I noticed that the Fan switch and the haedlight switch are opposite for on/off, is this correct? (i.e. the on position for the lights is pressing down, whereas the on position for the Fan switch is pressing up...)

if you look at the retainer piece that snaps onto the back, theres a tap in the center on each side that locks into the back of the switch. It's best to get an idea of how the retainer and the switch snap together before you try to install them. Some help is needed unless you are really flexible- it helps to puch in on the switch and then snap the retainer on underneath the dash. It's not fun.
