Hey Myles,
If you are referring to the padded dash top, pretty simple. Attaches with two screws that hold the turn button on about middle of each far edge of the padded top and one screw with trim ring towards the corner by the windshield. I am attempting to attach a picture from the Anderson/Moment restoration book that shows this. Plus the rear view mirror screws through the padded dash top to the scuttle sheet metal underneath. If I cannot attach, send me your e-mail and I will forward to you.

Hi Myles,
I just did this on a BT7, and Andrea is correct in everything that he said. I would add that there is a single Tenax stud just to the right of center (on a left hand drive car), and you have to line up the posts from the demister vents with the appropriate holes in metal below the dashboard. This was quite a chore in my restoration because my new wooden dashboard was not a perfect fit for my car.
