Well I got a dash cover from Moss Motors - gotta tell ya all the instructions are crappy beyond belief! Has anyone ever done one of these before and if do you have any hints as to how to do it. I have all the old foam off the frame and its sanded and ready to go but thats where the instructions loose me. Help!!!!

Hi Jim -

It'll be interesting to follow this thread. I will be doing the same thing in the not too distant future, and was wondering about how this works. Hopefully someone with some experience will chime in.

Jim, you took ALL the foam off the dash? Uh-oh.

I've never done the cover, but my understanding is they only replace the medium-density urethane foam, not the hard stuff.

Jim...ALL THE FOAM? What year dash? All the foam doesn't usually come with some dash covers so, depending on the year, you may be in a bit of a bind....have you checked to see that everything is behind the cover that you'll need?

I have done this on a previous 69B. On the 68-71 "Pillow" dash without a glove box you must NOT remove the dense foam that is bonded to the metal, only remove the vinyl molded cover. You will need many clamps and soft, weighted bags. I used small sand bags.
