started on the dash this weekend (getting colder in PA everyday so headed for the basement). i left the dash 25+ years ago as a rats nest of original, replacement, jury-rigged, and severely melted wires. as i delicately removed the switches, gauges and lights, i followed the schematic for my year and was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of the schematic to what i had. Overall it's a very simplistic harness but it's nice to know when it comes time to replace it that the schematic in hand is the same. I did notice that the wiper switch and panel light switch were mysteriously swapped. i am considering the moss heavy duty headlight wiring harness. if there is "any significant" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif weakness with lucas wiring, it's got to be the headlight design.
 
I know what you mean. I am getting ready to add a slave relay for the headlights and running lights.
 
although i want original as much as possible, the headlight circuit has to be altered to reduce the load on the switch and wiring. a slave relay is a great idea.
