Dash harness grounding

Putting in the new dash harness in the Bugeye. The schematic shows what is grounded, but doesn't show how/wire color. I thought that all the dash gauge bulbs grounded through the metal dash without wires, but my new harness has several black wires I believe are grounds.
A few of these are plain non-terminated wires, one of which I am sure goes to the wiper switch.
Some are 2-3 wires brought together into an eyelet terminal. Do these attach to the body to ground other things, or do they attach to specific gauges/switches?

would be nice of they were labelled...

Yes, Fred, all the black ones are ground. I believe the one with three black wires goes to a stud on the firewall. I added extra grounds from each gauge to the same stud. Be careful of the flasher light, as it needs to get a ground through the dashboard, which can be iffy at times. I soldered another ground right to the flasher light base. Good luck. I remember using an ohmmeter to check out where each ground came from. Also, make sure the flasher gets a good ground at the firewall. Oh, I also added a ground from the steering rack to ground (for the horn).

PO had put the ground wires where ever and I discovered by chance that the reason my fuel gauge wasn't reading right was because it needed a ground wire attached to the clamping post. So the dash isn't a good enough ground.

Fred, Are you negative ground? I had to solder a ground wire to the side of the blinker indicator.
