Dash Dimmer Switch

Hi All -

Drove my BT7 at night for the first time since coming back from paint and body and noticed that none of my gauges are lighting up. Thinking a have a loose ground wire somewhere back there I noticed a red one separated from the small switch on the bottom of the dash pad that controls the panel brightness. Problem is, I can't find that switch anywhere on the electrical schematic.

Is it listed as some strange term that I am overlooking?

Thanks for the help.

Jim

It's called the "Panel Lamps Switch". Follow wire 41 from the "Lighting Switch". It doesn't control the panel brightness in the sense that modern cars do. It has two positions "ON" and "OFF", or "ON" and "Lucas", whichever you prefer.

Thanks John - I will take a look for that tonight when I get home.
