Just saw your reply about Binabox (Jaybird's MG) and you mentioned you still have a ways to go on your Spit. What is still remaining?

Bas,

I have a Spitinabox. I have it completely torn apart. The engine has been rebuilt but still needs externals attached. I just bought a few hundred pounds of Black Magic blasting media so I can begin blasting the frame, suspention parts and body. However the pressurized blasting pot I need won't be available until June 18th. That's ok 'cause I have plenty of nit noid stuff to keep me busy in the meantime.

I am working in one of those tarp and pole buildings and it is kind of like a greenhouse effect...whatever the outside temp add 30 degrees so that and my bad back limit me to about 3-4 hours a day.

One of these days I'll get around to updating my blog. I promise. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

OK,
I finally overcame my procrastination and updated by blog with some pictures of the destruction thus far.

I am thinking about pulling my Motor and having it professionally overhauled. When I did it and put it all back together, it leaks oil like a - very leaky oily thing.

Looks like you're doing a really good job on yours!

Basil

It is coming together slowly. How many leaks I'll have is anybody's guess. If I recall corectly you have a leak in the rear of the engine. My research indicates that it could be caused by wear in the area where the oil seal seats. I had that kind of wear. I place triple gaskets with Permatex Anareobic sealer between each layer, between the block and the oil seal housing. I have been assured by 3 professionals that this will stop any potential leaks in that area. Time will tell.
