dangers of tree trimming

Offline
just got some really bad knews, a very good friend of mine who is an arborist owns/operates a very successful tree trimming company had one of his men get his body caught up in a stump grinder last friday, hes lost one leg,one arm, and not sure if they can save the other arm. he was the top guy on my friends crew, i know him, a really nice guy, got the news about 15 min. ago and just cant get my head wrapped around this, dont think i can eat dinner.

very horrible, i hate hearing about incidents like this. i work in a somewhat dangerous field and could get very badly injured any day at work and it always makes me think a little more about safety when i hear something like this. To many guys i work with take un-needed chances and they refuse to listen when i stress safety concerns.
i'm sure being the top guy he was taking proper safety precautions and was the result of an very unfortunate accident.
i hope everyone there the best and my thoughts are with u guys.

Can't imagine how he feels and what his family is going through.
thought and prays go out to him.

Horrible!!

It's that: "I can do this..." with a trust in others that causes me concern. Gotta be in charge of yourself when in situations like that.

Very sad to hear of the trauma.

Really.

thanks guys for your understanding and empathy, this really shook me up. we all know that too often very bad things happen to good people, and that very good things happen much too often to very bad ones, its never fare, there is forever the what if's, the why nots,... the longer i live the more i wonder why or how i have done so :nonod:

A really curious malady is the: "why did I survive" question, Ant'ny.

It is just ~so~.

We go thru stuff... life, war, childhood.

Why some have trauma and others don't is a complete mystery. Call it what ya will, it just IS. Hateful, but ~so~.
