Dang, Isn't it Spring

How about the weather today. I had to stop to fill up twice today. But thats what you get when you have a 5 gallon tank and get about 12 mpg and don't trust your fuel gauge.
I took this one in downtown Tacoma.

Spring arrived in Scotland this week. Temperatures in the 60s and sunny and I have managed two trips in the TR.
Unfortunately the forecast for the weekend is north winds, frost and snow! So, back to winter again. Hopefully that wasn't our summer too!!

12mpg? yikes!

I was gunna drive the 6' to work this morning, till I got outside and realized it was 22* out brrrrrr.

my hardtop will be back from the paint shop just in time to take it off!

Weatherman is calling for 55 and partly cloudy this Saturday. Spring has arrived in NW Ohio.

Drat...........I was going for 3 CT posts in a row!

NutmegCT.....My TR6 would only run right with the carbs set on the rich side and I averaged 12 mpg around town and 18 mpg on the highway. Since converting to TBI, I get 22 and 28 mpg. I hoping my 5 speed conversion will push the highway mileage over the 30 mpg mark. But the 4:10 Nissan diff may offset the 5th gear advantage.

Kodanja....do I know you? And when it's 60 degrees on a few hours you'll wish you had the 6.

It just wasn't worth it this morning!

but Ill go for a cruise when I get home at 4:30pm

Yea Bob you know me, its Bill from North Haven.......

I still wanna go cruise with ya! just gimme a call

End of the world, pelting rain with 35 knot winds
howling. A micro-hurricane is upon us. No TR6 driving
and no fishing.

Blargh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that's what you get when you have a carbed V8 and a heavy foot. I had a bit to much fun yesterday. On the last leg home my belt started making some noise. When I popped the hood this afternoon, my alternator wasn't even attached to my engine. Both bolts broke off in the block. 3 hours, 2 auto parts stores, 4 Coronas and the last sunny day for at least a week, she's ready to roll.

Supposed to be 60 and sunny around here on Sunday. Great day to finally get Baldrick out of hibernation. Unfortunately, we already have plans for the day that involve only the Volvo. No top down enjoyment for this weekend. :cryin:

Soon...

Dale,

One day it's paradise and we're looking at pictures of sunshine, calm oceans, people smiling and the next day you're whining about a little passing shower. For goodness sake, suck it up and enjoy a little rough surf. Get out there and rock around a little on that yacht of yours. Take advantage of nature already.

It rains for days at a time here in New England. And it's still friggin' cold up here!!!

I swear, you've become an islander. You really have forgotten what real winter was like, haven't you? Jeez.....

<span style="color: #CC0000">Well buddy, we've now had 4 days of constant rain, yesterday my house
never got above 73*F and it was in the 60's last night. We had to sleep in sweats and
under blankets with our teeth chattering. I know what winter is like, believe me!!</span>

You always manage to give me a good laugh.....

BTW, It's a balmy 37 degrees and wind swept rain as I type this. Same for tomorrow.

BUT......Sunday will be only partly cloudy (that means just rain, not wind swept rain) and a high of 48!!!

<span style="font-size: 14pt">Man, I don't know how you guys stand it!</span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">You need to move out West to sunshine, not a cloud in the bright blue sky, 61 predicted for the high today, top-down weather (shirt sleeves for anything above 50 due to that high-altitude sun), no rust in our cars, and no "four days of constant rain."</span> :cooler:

<span style="font-size: 8pt">Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that it snowed all afternoon yesterday and it never got above 40, did'nt I?</span>

Have I ever mentioned "I HATE THE COLD"

So what do I do , I buy a house in New England.....Duh!!!!

rain or shine I'm going for a ride in the Tr6 on Sunday!!

Only in the Denver area and south. We had mixed sunshine and rain most of the day with a high in the mid 50's in Northern Colorado, It snowed for about 10 minutes during the lunch hour.

You did forget to mention the thin air at altitude though. Those lowlanders would run out of breath soon.

..spring can't be far off up here either,Igloo is startin to drip inside ....so be moving back into the wooden house soon:jester:
