Daimler?

I was visiting the family of Jack Kosko today. Jack had mostly been restoring aircraft over the last 20 years, but cars were his first passion. I got a chance to walk through his workshop. Eerie doesn't begin to describe it, it was as if everything was left exactly where it was when he passed. Among the cars in the shop was this project. I'm fairly certain it's a Daimler, but not sure the exact model. I think it may be a Conquest. Anyone in the BCF brain trust able to identify it?

There was also a Packard, a Jaguar 420 and a '47 Mercury in the workshop. Jack was the original owner of the '47 Mercury and he courted his wife in the car. The Jaguar was in dusty, but otherwise excellent condition.

That does appear to be a match. Without the rear fender skirt, the unrestored car doesn't look as "swoopy"

I'm fairly certain that the family will not sell the '47 Merc. I do know the Packard is for sale, and I'd be surprised if the 420 wouldn't be sold off, either. Not sure what the plans are for the Daimler.

Am sorry to hear of Jack's passing! He was an early active participant in our Daimler club, and I spoke to him in late fall last year. Rick is correct, it is a 1952 Barker Special Sports.
