Daimler Dart on eBay!

NO WAY!!!! clothspins were standard back in the 60's. I've traded a couple emails with the seller, his father said it was a '61 so that's what it is listed as. I believe this is the 35th one made (first 10 were prototypes) so it has to be a '59 or very early '60. The "A" spec cars had body flex issues, and there are obviously other problems to be dealt with from the pictures. I would say it is an 8-thou car at the very best, perhaps 7 is more realistic, but I see it is over that already. I have no clue as to what his reserve is, wouldn't insult him by asking. If anyone here on the forum buys it, I'll be glad to share what little I know about the beasts. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

these are great cars... too bad they have a face that ... let's say ... needs an "aquired sense of appreciation!"

Cheers!

my good buddy -who has 19 vintage (mostly) porches- calls them fishcars, and it is soooooo appropriate.

That is apt.

I like to see SP250s at shows, preferably parked next to the Jensen class - they are the only thing guaranteed to make my CV-8 look good in comparison.

As for choice of chassis, one can hear them saying "No, let's not go with the MG or the Healey chassis, which handle very well and decently, respectively. Let's go with the worst handling candidate, the Triumph, because we can get them for 50 pence cheaper...."
